Perfect Sesame Fries

Who loves fries? I know we sure do in our house, and these DELIGHTFUL fries are the perfect combo of sweet and salty.

Starring the japanese white sweet potato, they have an earthy but sweet thick, filling richness, loaded with potassium.

If you’re looking for the perfect fries to add to your fish n’ chips, burger meal, or poutine, look no further!

Ingredients:  (makes one bowl)

  • 1 japanese white sweet potato

  • ¼ cup avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1 tsp himalayan salt

  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds 

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Peel skin off the potato, then cut into fry like sticks.

  3. Place on pan and add avocado oil.

  4. Cook at 400 for 10 minutes, removing to flip every 2-3 minutes.

  5. Remove pan, add nutritional yeast and sesame seeds, reduce heat to 350, and let bake for 10 more minutes, flipping once.

  6. Turn off the oven and let them sit for 5 minutes in the oven.

  7. Remove and enjoy with your favourite dipping sauce!
